Dr. James Bolger


Our head doctor, Dr. James Bolger, MSIS, DVM opened our animal hospital in 1999. He is a 1994 graduate of Tufts Veterinary School of Medicine. Prior to owning CVH he worked as an associate with several area veterinary practices. Dr. Bolger has years of experience working with non-profit organizations developing protocols and strategies to help disadvantaged pet owners and their beloved companions attain and secure medical services.
 
 

 
 
 
 
 

Dr. Cindy McGinn


Dr. McGinn graduated Cum Laude from Wellesley College and attended Tufts University from which she graduated in 1998. She has been practicing for the last 16 years in small animal medicine and surgery. She enjoys spending time outdoors golfing, jogging, playing tennis and traveling. She currently resides with 3 dogs and 5 cats!
 
 

 
 
 
 

Laura Valley

Hospital Administrator

After years of volunteer work Laura came to CVH in 2003 with a background in Administration and a passion for animal welfare. She has a BS in Psychology from Worcester State University. She has done volunteer work for many local organizations including Volunteer Humane Society in Lancaster and Sterling Animal Shelter.
She loves spending time with her family and dog Max (and his foster companions). Special interests include time outdoors hiking, gardening and travelling.
 
 

 
 
 
 

Meghann Lafferty

Lead Veterinary Technician

Meghann came to CVH in the summer of 2004. At the time she was studying Animal Care at Becker College and started as our Kennel Technician. After graduating she became a veterinary technician. Her favorite part of becoming a veterinary technician is stepping through the complicated cases and seeing the animals improvement at the end. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing and spends time at her family's farm. Currently she lives with her rescue dogs Quincy, Ben and Buddy and a bearded dragon named Eddie.
 
 

 
 
 
 
 

Jessica Guillemette

Veterinary Technician

Jessica holds an AS in Animal Care from Becker College. She came to CVH in the fall of 2010 after working as a vet tech for 6 years at a previous animal hospital. She is Certified Groomer and has worked as a dog and cat groomer. Her rescued 'fur' children include 3 senior Chihuahuas, Darius, Tango and Taco, a Maltese, Delilah, and cats Simon (who has a mild form of Cerebellum Hyperplasia) Callie and Bernadette.
 
 

 
 
 
 

Kerry Maynard

Veterinary Technician/ Administration

Kerry has been with CVH since 2004 starting out as the receptionist and then trained to become a technician. She currently works all aspects of the hospital and enjoys the client interaction as well as the technical side. She has attended University of Phoenix and Mt. Wachusett Community College specializing in Healthcare and Business Administration. She resides in Clinton with her husband and son, along with her senior cats, Bamf and Taylor and dog rescue, Samson (lab/chow mix). In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, reading and spending time with family outdoors when possible.
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 

Melissa Lafrennie

Receptionist

Melissa joined CVH in 2014 with experience in administration. During her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her two children, attending as many sports events she can and her four furbabies (All cats- Henrietta, Minou, Eleanor and Elaine). Melissa also enjoys horseback riding, training and helps out at the barn whenever she can.
 
 

 
 
 
 
 

Mallory Gonzalez

Veterinary Technician

Mallory got her degree at Becker College majoring in Veterinary Technology in 2016. She has been with CVH since the beginning of 2014. Originally from Boylston, she now lives with her rescue cats Layla, Louie and Gracie and her newly adopted Pittie mix Penny. She enjoys spending time with her husband John.
 

 
 
 
 

Alie Desmarais

Kennel Technician

Alie graduated from Clinton High School and joined CVH in 2014 as a kennel technician. We take pride in the clean and inviting atmosphere we provide to our patients and we have Alie to thank for it. She enjoys the exposure to the veterinary world and comforts patients during down time in the hospital. Alie also volunteers her spare time at the Volunteer Humane Society in Lancaster. She is a talented crocheter and enjoys spending time with her rescue cat "Z".
